02:58:18<gregor>I'm a Haskell and HAppS newbie, and I wanted to go through the HAppS tutorial but I'm having trouble getting HAppS to compile. Anyone here willing to field a few questions?
02:59:18<kfish>gregor, heya, just ask, and wait around :-)

03:02:25<gregor>I have GHC 6.6 installed on Mac OS X 10.4, and I downloaded and installed HaXml-1.13.2, binary-0.2 and HList (unknown version from darcs), all via the apparently standard incantation "runhaskell Setup.[l]hs configure; runhaskell Setup.[l]hs build; sudo runhaskell Setup.[l]hs install". That seemed to go OK, although there were *many* warnings for HaXml.
03:03:27<gregor>When I incanted on HAppS, I got a bunch of things like this (with various line numbers)
03:03:27<gregor>src/HAppS/Protocols/HList.hs:24:96:
03:03:28<gregor> Not in scope: type constructor or class `F'
03:03:41<gregor>and a few of these too
03:03:42<gregor>src/HAppS/Protocols/HList.hs:26:28: Not in scope: `labelF'
03:04:56<gregor>That is for HAppS 0.8.8
03:07:14<gregor>I see from the output the HList version configure: Dependency HList-any: using HList-0.1
06:20:02<tuukkah>gregor, someone complained about the same thing yesterday. they got it solved by getting a newer version of HAppS from darcs
06:21:57<tuukkah>but see also the very top of the HAppS homepage for the latest development version of HAppS which is somewhat different to use
