19:58:13<Lemmih>Anyone interesting in giving some feedback on a new set of examples?
20:45:55<BlueZeniX_>Lemmih: i probably won't understand them (yet) but where can i find these examples?
20:47:06<Lemmih>BlueZeniX_: In the HAppS-Server repo. HAppS-Server/Examples/set/
20:49:13<Lemmih>Each file is executable. Simply run 'runhaskell file.hs'.
20:49:42<BlueZeniX_>oh will have to check out later then
20:54:24<vegai>I wish darcs had something like mercurial's forest plugin
20:54:34<Lemmih>forest plugin?
20:55:32<vegai>http://www.selenic.com/mercurial/wiki/index.cgi/ForestExtension
20:55:44<vegai>"The Forest extension allows operations on trees with nested Mercurial repositories, called forests. Those to some degree correspond to multi-project CVS/Svn/... repositories."
21:00:40<Madrok>Lemmih, more comments about what the Happs function are would be good, at least from the point of view of someone that's learning haskell _because of the interest in happs itself ;)
21:01:48<Lemmih>Madrok: There's haddock documentation for the functions.
21:02:26<Lemmih>Perhaps that's what you're referring to.
21:02:42<Madrok>If I knew what haddock was, that'd be a start.
21:03:50<Lemmih>Haddock is a bit like Oxygen.
21:09:22<Madrok>So if I am in the base of the repo HAppS-Server, now that I installed haddock, how to I generate those docs?
21:10:52<Madrok>Ah, stumbled upon it from Setup.hs
21:13:25<Lemmih>Hm, the Haddock documentation seems to be broken.
21:13:51<Madrok>Ok, good. I thought it was me
21:14:17<Madrok>(Good for me, less good for you ;) )
21:18:58<Lemmih>There we go. All fixed.
21:23:37<perspectivet>Lemmih: I can take a cursory look this afternoon
21:24:16<perspectivet>are they in darcs under HAppS-Begin?
21:26:12<Saizan_> Lemmih : BlueZeniX_: In the HAppS-Server repo. HAppS-Server/Examples/set/
21:27:11<perspectivet>Saizan_: thanks
21:43:39<perspectivet>Lemmih: those examples are good.
21:44:17<perspectivet>would be good to have some docs for the functions they use too.
21:44:31<perspectivet>Not sure how far off something like that would be.
21:45:17<perspectivet>just thinking from the standpoint of a casual web user
21:46:07<perspectivet>But I like the interesting url convention.
21:46:42<perspectivet>make's it pretty clear what it should be doing and gives context to the rest of the code
22:52:09<Sizur>in AllIn.hs
22:52:35<Sizur>-- Note that we don't use the list directly because we may want this
22:52:35<Sizur>-- list type for other purposes so we make it a newtype.
22:52:47<Sizur>I don't follow, why again are we making a newtype?
22:59:07<Sizur>what is meant by "we may want this list type for other purposes"?
23:28:55<sjanssen>Sizur: there can only be a single class instance for a type
23:29:33<sjanssen>so presumably it's defining an instance that isn't necessarily useful for all uses of lists
23:30:55<Sizur>sjanssen: I see now. thanks for explaining
