01:02:59<keseldude>hey I get this error when I try to build HAppS:
01:03:01<keseldude>src/Main.hs:64:0: warning: no newline at end of file
01:03:01<keseldude>/home/keseldude/.SearchPath/http_searchpath.org-default.map.dir/darcs_get_--partial_http_happs.org-repos-HAppS-Server/HAppS-Server/src/HAppS/Store/Util.hs:1:97:
01:03:05<keseldude> cannot parse LANGUAGE pragma
01:03:07<keseldude>"Compiler error. Press <cr> to try again"
01:03:22<alexj>you are using ghc 6.8.1
01:03:25<alexj>you need 6.8.2
01:03:34<keseldude>well that would explain it
01:03:38<keseldude>thanks
01:03:44<keseldude>actually 6.6.1 :P
16:25:56<loupgaroublond>hi all
16:26:35<loupgaroublond>is there a way to map relational DB data into a Happs app, to work with another application written in another framework?
16:27:31<alexj>the main question is what app controls the data.
16:28:47<loupgaroublond>what do you mean?
16:29:13<loupgaroublond>both 'control' it, if that's what you mean, both need to read and write to and from the DB
16:31:21<loupgaroublond>well, i'm curious to see how easy it would be to rewrite a subset of an app in happs
16:31:39<loupgaroublond>and the whole 'in-memory' idea is good, but we still need a DB, or some kind of physical backing
16:34:20<alexj>happs-state keeps the DB in memory but gives you ACID.
16:34:46<alexj>all updates to in memory state are logged and state is checkpointed so you can unplug the machine and recover back to where you were.
16:35:16<alexj>if you just need to talk to an external rdbms that is no different than any other IO.
16:35:34<alexj>you can do that from inside the happs http server too.
16:37:11<loupgaroublond>are there any apps that have done it already, that i can use as an example?
16:40:47<alexj>that have done what?
16:40:54<alexj>use a dbms?
16:41:01<alexj>there are a bunch of sql client libs.
16:45:31<loupgaroublond>i know, i was wondering if there are best practices for it, or some example of how it'sbeen done
20:28:27<Sizur>awesome news about comet style support!
20:29:25<Sizur>can i mix comet style together with text.xhtml? that would be perfect since i require seo
20:30:14<Sizur>good job guys! you were working hard during the holiday
