00:21:09<jaggederest>ah two different ghc versions each with it's own set of packages... d'oh.
02:35:06<jaggederest>@Lemmih I nuked everything and started over, clean GHC install, same error.
02:35:06<psibot>Unknown command, try @list
02:43:42<LoganCapaldo>psibot: be ye a lambdabot?
02:43:58<LoganCapaldo>@arr
02:43:59<psibot>Ahoy mateys
02:44:14<davidL>@version
02:44:15<psibot>lambdabot 4p584, GHC 6.8.2 (Linux i686 1500MHz)
02:44:15<psibot>darcs get http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~dons/lambdabot
02:54:11<jaggederest>I love being a noob again.
03:04:50<LoganCapaldo>is psibot also running a happs app I wonder?
03:04:57<LoganCapaldo>in this very channel
03:08:29<jaggederest>I hope so. That would be marvelous.
03:08:47<jaggederest>darcs trackdown is a nifty command.
03:09:08<jaggederest>I'm using it to figure out what's broken on the head of the happs repos
08:20:52<Lemmih>jaggederest: How are you installing HAppS-State?
10:58:50<MarcWeber>Lemmih: I'm installing HAppS right now as well. However I was surprised getting this message http://rafb.net/p/1SSVD057.html. adding the tag flag worked however.
10:58:51<psibot>Title: Nopaste - No description
11:12:49<Lemmih>You might try getting the full repo.
11:13:00<jaggederest>cool. I will try that.
11:13:31<Lemmih>MarcWeber: Adding the tag flag is a non-fix.
11:14:08<MarcWeber>Lemmih: How to fix it then? I've also tried darcs-2.0.0pre3
11:14:31<Lemmih>Get the full repo.
11:15:00<jaggederest>hmm, so this is actually a problem with darcs not grabbing everything it needs?
11:21:38<jaggederest>Ok, thanks for all your help. I sleep, in the morning all the repos will be full copies, and we'll play it again Sal
11:28:50<Lemmih>I've created a new checkpoint. Partial repos should work again.
12:20:11<MarcWeber>http://rafb.net/p/FEqTZS75.html ? Is this a good fix? at least it does compile this way.
12:20:12<psibot>Title: Nopaste - No description
12:22:00<Lemmih>Well, sure. If you don't want the latest version of HAppS, that is.
12:22:51<Lemmih>The latest version has a completely new component system and serialization approach.
12:23:28<Lemmih>I've created a new checkpoint. You should be able to get the partial repo.
12:23:33<MarcWeber>Lemmih: So where can I get a list of recent dependencies?
12:23:46<MarcWeber>Yes that worked.
12:24:07<Lemmih>HAppS-State, HAppS-Server, HAppS-IxSet.
12:24:15<MarcWeber>http://happs.org/repos/HAppS-IxSet ?
12:24:27<MarcWeber>That's what I've pulled
12:24:35<Lemmih>Your HAppS-State is old.
12:25:14<MarcWeber>thx
14:56:34<MarcWeber>Lemmih: How do you cope with evolving code from different libraries? I mean hoogle is nice but can never be up to date? Do you think it would be nice beeing able to register/install the source code along with tags and the libraries in ghc-pkg databases?
14:58:40<Lemmih>We already do that. We call it versions.
14:59:42<MarcWeber>Lemmih: Do you know where I can read more about it? ghc manual?
15:00:38<Lemmih>I'm not sure what there is to read. Package versions aren't related to darcs tags.
15:03:29<Lemmih>Tracking the development version /is/ hard. Once the stable release is out, everything becomes much easier.
20:18:09<jaggederest>Yay that worked, thanks Lemmih.
