09:31:45<mae>basically when i go to /posts , this is when the error is output
09:32:21<mae>Glasgow Haskell Compiler, Version 6.8.2, i start it like this: sp ghc -isrc Main.hs --make --run
09:32:36<mae>*waits for a helpful response*
09:35:47<Saizan>that error happens when your list is not a singleton
16:18:07<Lemmih>Hola.
16:24:47<Lemmih>Anyone around?
16:36:56<MarcWeber>Yes..
17:00:01<Lemmih>MarcWeber: http://85.235.22.214:8001/
17:00:34<Lemmih>And: http://85.235.22.214:8000/
17:02:58<Lemmih>(^^ AJAX chat using HAppS+multimaster)
17:06:21<Lemmih>(only works in firefox, me thinks)
17:42:53<MarcWeber>Lemmih: What's that for a site ? FF is no longer responding :)
17:43:37<MarcWeber>In Opera I could send text but I did not get the entered text back till reloading
17:43:49<MarcWeber>How do :800{0,1} differ?
17:54:16<MarcWeber>Lemmih: Maybe it's sensible to write one paragraph what should be there and how the chat should behave ..
18:45:37<thartman>neato
18:46:22<thartman>by the way guys, there's a good use case to use that instead of irc.
18:46:57<thartman>corporate firewall blocked irc for me for six months. made it somewhat tougher to get info on happs.
18:47:07<thartman>just a thought.
18:47:33<thartman>is the chat in the examples dir?
19:27:31<MarcWeber>~g
19:27:48<MarcWeber>I've never seen this isntance .. => ... where
19:27:55<MarcWeber> type ..
19:28:09<MarcWeber>declaration. Do you know how it's called so that I can look it up?
19:41:35<Lemmih>thartman: It will be soon.
19:42:19<Lemmih>MarcWeber: (re 8000 and 8001) They don't, that's the point.
19:43:26<Lemmih>MarcWeber: The '=>' part is like any other use of '=>'.
19:44:06<Lemmih>MarcWeber: instance Show x => Show (SomeData x) -- This defines Show for (SomeData x) iff 'x' is an instance of Show.
19:55:26<thartman>@seen mightybyte
20:02:18<MarcWeber>Lemmih: Maybe that's a stupid question.. but I can't I just use simpleHttp twice to achieve the same ? :)
20:04:31<MarcWeber>What does this neste type signature mean ? eg type Dependencies State = .. :+: ..:+: in instance Componante Sate ?
20:04:34<Lemmih>MarcWeber: You wouldn't get any failure redundancy or performance improvements.
20:05:26<Lemmih>MarcWeber: The Dependency type is a static list of dependencies.
20:05:35<Lemmih>MarcWeber: :+: is cons, End is nil.
20:06:16<MarcWeber>I wanted to add :from the viewpoint of the user :)
20:06:43<MarcWeber>I know about :+: but I don't know about type within instance.
20:07:28<MarcWeber>I only know about type without indentation.
20:15:33<Lemmih>The 'Dependency' type is indexed by the component.
20:16:24<Lemmih>So 'Dependency X' is a list of dependencies for X and 'Dependency Y' is likewise for Y.
20:18:40<MarcWeber>So it's kind of phantom type? data a = Con with the same value for X and Y ?
20:45:12<Lemmih>I don't follow.
20:46:46<MarcWeber>I've seen another example on haskelcafe today. I'll try to read the whole thread first.
