06:40:19<mae_>any talk of integrating DrIFT into happs
06:40:33<mae_>with all the derivation situps you have to do currently ; )
09:33:58<Lemmih>mae_: I'm not sure DrIFT is preferable to TH.
11:47:34<syntaks>hello
11:47:54<Lemmih>Hi.
11:49:12<syntaks>in a handler, like myHandler :: WebT m a ... can I get information from the request?
11:49:29<syntaks>or do I need to wrtap it in something like withRequest?
11:49:40<syntaks>s/wrtap/wrap
11:50:43<Lemmih>What information do you want?
11:51:12<syntaks>post request body and parameters passed via the URI
11:51:36<Lemmih>You can access that using 'withData' and 'withDataFn'.
11:52:28<syntaks>oh, I see...
11:53:05<syntaks>that gives me something to go on :)
11:53:13<syntaks>thanks
11:54:48<syntaks>oh, but withData is in ServerPartT... will that work inside a WebT context
11:55:00<syntaks>I think I'm not yet quite clear on the relationship of those two
11:56:07<Lemmih>Get the data you need before entering WebT.
11:56:26<Lemmih>WebT is used to generate a response.
11:57:28<syntaks>ok, so for stateless things, I would prepare the data while in ServerPartT and pass that on to something in WebT which build the response, right?
11:57:52<syntaks>well, I guess that is exactly what you just said ;)
11:58:30<Lemmih>And for stateful things as well.
11:59:39<syntaks>in my case, most of the application state is in an external database, with which I need to interface, so I don't use any of the state functionality in HAppS yet
13:59:38<kaol>argh. none of the 0.9.2.1 distribution tarballs have a COPYING file in them. That's going to make it difficult to get them in Debian...
14:31:13<kaol>I think I'll use darcs snapshots instead
21:37:35<mightybyte>Hmmm, when I compile the latest HAppS, I get Ambiguous occurrence `Version'
21:38:16<mightybyte>In src/HAppS/Store/FlashMsgs.hs:65:9
21:40:35<mightybyte>Which Version definition should be used?
21:46:10<mightybyte>Hmmm, looks like those errors are also in IxSet.hs
22:29:54<Lemmih>mightybyte: Try updating HAppS-Data.
22:33:09<mightybyte>I did
22:34:02<mightybyte>Hmmm, it looks like there may be a version problem.
22:34:21<mightybyte>I still had the last three versions in the ghc-pkg list.
22:34:54<mightybyte>IxSet and Server are looking for HAppS-State-0.9.2 instead of 0.9.2.1
22:35:17<Lemmih>mightybyte: Reconfigure them.
22:35:32<mightybyte>How do I do that? Just edit the files?
22:35:56<Lemmih>cabal reconfigure
22:36:04<mightybyte>Ok
22:36:14<Lemmih>(if you have the cabal binary installed)
22:36:24<Lemmih>runhaskell Setup.lhs reconfigure, otherwise.
22:37:17<mightybyte>Unrecognized command: reconfigure
22:37:41<mightybyte>HAppS-IxSet.cabal has the 0.9.2 dependency. Should I just change that?
22:37:45<Lemmih>*configure
22:38:00<Lemmih>mightybyte: It does not.
22:42:11<mightybyte>Ahhh, I'm missing hspread
22:48:47<mightybyte>Ok, works now.
