11:43:50<Saul__>I've made two functions that I want to use with mkMethods, but they are too general :(
11:44:31<Saul__>Probably due to a class constraint
13:51:49<Saul__>Am I right that mkMethods won't work with ad-hoc polymorphism?
13:52:45<Saul__>nvm, I got a case that doesn't use it, but is still too general
13:56:24<Saul__>It seems that polymorphism won't work at all :(
14:09:34<Saul__>Is there a way around that?
14:10:25<Saul__>Since it seems that my code would become really ugly
14:11:01<Saul__>I would probably have to redo most of the code for each type I add
14:25:29<Saul__>I also have another unrelated problem, I want to store a type that is in a library in my state
14:26:23<Saul__>But I can't derive an instance of Typeable since it's constructors are hidden, and I can't make one manually because the constructors for TypeRep are hidden as well.
14:44:34<chr1s>can you use standalone deriving?
15:04:54<Saul__>Nope, that needs the constructors in scope
15:05:07<Saul__>But I already got help from someone in #haskell
15:05:16<Saul__>So I've got that part working
15:05:46<Saul__>Now I just need something to work around the monomorphism problem with mkMethods
15:06:21<Saul__>But I have to do something else first, so I'll be back in 15 minutes or zo
15:06:25<Saul__>*so
15:24:30<Saul__>Ok I'm back
