05:21:20<cmalune>hello people
05:21:54<cmalune>have people been using HAppS-DNS with success?
11:14:38<Sadache>Lemmih: So can you help me in implementing serialize?
11:16:01<Lemmih>Yep.
11:17:08<Lemmih>instance Serialize YourType where putCopy = contain . put . show; getCopy = contain $ fmap read get
11:18:50<Sadache>and how sure u are that what show produces read can read?
11:19:31<Lemmih>Oh, not sure at all. Many types can't be serialized using Read/Show.
11:20:20<Saizan>if you've "deriving (Read,Show)" on your datatype and it compiles then you can be sure
11:20:52<Sadache>ok
11:21:10<Lemmih>Saizan: Not necessarily.
11:21:44<Lemmih>Saizan: 'read . show /= id' for some types.
11:22:07<Saizan>which?
11:22:38<Sadache>i have another question: are their some typed representation of html elements in haskell so that i can construct it then transform it to html?
11:23:49<Lemmih>Saizan: Shae and I made a bug report about it some time ago. Can't remember which type was the culprit.
11:24:15<Lemmih>Sadache: Yep, see Text.(X)Html
11:25:25<Sadache>Lemmih: I tried the code you passed me but it still asks for Typeable and Version for the ZonedTime which will require implmenting it for all constructors inside
11:26:58<Lemmih>Sadache: Defining Version is easy. Hopefully you can do the Typeable instance by using standalone deriving.
11:27:39<Sadache>I am not sure since Pico does not expose all constructors
11:31:11<Lemmih>This works: http://hpaste.org/11727
11:36:44<Sadache>oh yeah, at last it compiles
11:36:58<Sadache>thank you
11:37:03<Lemmih>Np.
17:36:16<yebyen>hello
17:39:48<Saizan>hi
17:40:59<Lemmih>hiya
